A fascinating new resource has been added to this website for anyone interested in Wollaton’s mining heritage.

The Mining Remediation Authority provides an interactive map that allows you to select different mining attributes and explore their historic impact on the landscape. Zoom in on Wollaton and discover the legacy beneath our feet!

For those who fancy “digging” further, the linked Mine Plans Catalogue contains 44 historic mine plans for Wollaton, providing a fascinating glimpse into the area’s mining past.
