HomeWollaton Blooms Again
Added on 26 October 2026
Earlier in October, WHaCS representatives attended the East Midlands in Bloom "It's Your Neighbourhood" awards ceremony at Treetops Hospice in Risley.
Our Chair, Ninya, accompanied by Keith and Jean Dinsdale, collected three certificates and garden centre vouchers in recognition of the work taking place around Wollaton.
The Wollaton Dovecote garden once again received a Level 4 - Thriving award, while the village planters achieved a Level 3 - Advancing award. The new wildflower corner was also recognised, receiving a Level 1 - Establishing award.
The assessors expressed their appreciation for the efforts of WHaCS volunteers, offering encouragement to continue the work alongside helpful suggestions for further improvement.
This feedback will help guide our ongoing work to improve these spaces, as we look forward to building on this year’s success in next year’s awards.
